About Author: Sohrab Sepehri (1928-80) was one of Iran's most prominent poets as well as a talented painter. A native of Kashan, Sepehri worked as a civil servant while pursuing his writing and painting. Eventually, he turned to the arts full-time and lived abroad from 1964 until he was diagnosed with leukemia in 1979
