ابوالقاسم فردوسی طوسی (۳۲۹ تا ۴۱۶ هجری قمری) شاعر حماسهسرای ایرانی و خالق شاهنامه، حماسهی ملی ایران است. او را حکیم سخن یا حکیم طوس مینامند و از بزرگترین شاعران پارسیگو با شهرت جهانی به شمار میآید. فردوسی در خراسان به دنیا آمد و عمر خود را وقف زنده نگهداشتن زبان و فرهنگ ایرانی کرد.
